4.20 Hempfest cancelled

4.20 HEMP FEST 2023 CANCELLED

LETTER TO THE COMMUNITY

Dear Community of the 4.20 Hemp Fest,

We are sorry to inform you that the upcoming edition of the 4.20 Hemp Fest scheduled for December 8-9-10, 2023, has been canceled. After years of hard work, this has been a painful decision for us, driven by various reasons that make it impossible to hold the event successfully.

The trade fair sector has undergone profound changes after the Covid-19 pandemic, and the attendance of both companies and the public at Italian fairs has significantly decreased. As a result, many foreign exhibitors have renounced to participate in this edition.

Milan has always been a key player in the Cannabis business in Italy; however, the market is going through a real crisis, and the whole sector has experienced significant changes after the pandemic, with less participation and community spirit.

The governmental situation has certainly influenced this context, and major distributors in Italy, along with some industry magazines, have opposed the project rather than supporting it.

Our desire to expand the fair to an even larger and modern venue to create something unique in Italy has collided with reality.

After several editions that achieved important results thanks to passion and sacrifice, we continue to believe that Milan remains the economic heart of this sector in our country.

For this reason, we prefer the market to stabilize so that we can come back stronger than before and create a fair on par with the major European events.

In the meantime, we will continue to observe and analyze the market, especially in light of the 2026 Olympic Games to be held in Milan.

Over the years, we have achieved significant results and accomplished extraordinary things never seen before in Italy in a sector fair, such as organizing the 4.20 Cannabis Cup, the first competition in Europe on Cannabis Light, invited for the first time to an Italian trade fair Frenchy Cannoli to lead important seminars, and having the legendary Lee Scratch Perry, former producer of Bob Marley, perform.

These are just a few of the initiatives we would love to work on in the future.

We thank those who have always supported us and those who continue to do so.

We will be back soon to share together exciting days full of results.

Thank you,

The team of 4.20 Hemp Fest
